It also uses super-fancy peer-to-peer technology to function with no central authority or banks; because any student of history will tell you that there are no downsides to currency with very little oversight.  

Instead of scary bureaucracy, this meme-based cryptocurrency takes advantage of cool-sounding blockchain technology. This system stores information as a public ledger, and said ledger is secured and maintained by a bunch of money robots called nodes. Actually, the nodes are just a network of computers, but by giving said network a techy name, we can make you feel like you’re a pioneering hero like Tony Stark instead of a normal person making a risky investment.
