AS SEEN AT

This show was truly a delight, it had the whole audience cheering, laughing, and dancing! Our kiddo loved how silly it was and we did as well! This was a great taste of the comedic horror theater performance that this group has to offer, and I definitely want to see more!

Synopsis

Vampires are sexy, ghosts are tourist attractions, and mad scientists get government contracts. Where do classic monsters fit into our post-modern world? Show biz, of course! The Cobb siblings created their carnival to give a sense of purpose to monsters that society has deemed “not scary anymore.”

A nostalgic vaudeville-style variety show with singing, comedy, and monsters who don’t know the meaning of the word outdated.

History

Cobbs Carnival of Dreams began as a haunted attraction based out of a private residence. As the popularity of the backyard maze grew, the creators wanted to provide some sort of family-friendly entertainment for younger kids and adults at the front of the attraction.

The stage show version of Cobbs Carnival of Dreams was born. A 15-minute variety show that included talented acts such as dancers, jugglers, and singers. The Cobb siblings acted as emcees and provided comedy in between.

The show’s first iteration to play at a public venue was during the 2018 Anaheim Fall Festival, where both the maze and stage show ran. In 2019 the stage show hit the road performing at Midsummer Scream, a Halloween convention in Long Beach, CA. That year the stage show returned to the Anaheim Fall Festival, alongside a new interactive experience.

In 2022, the variety show got a facelift, now becoming a home for classic monsters. It’s still appropriate for all ages and was well received at both Midsummer Scream and HorrorCon Los Angeles. It played so well with audiences, the show was invited to return to both venues in 2023.
